Sadaka has partnered with the Education for Reconciliation project to develop a resource for secondary school teachers entitled ‘Palestine – Israel: A Case Study in International Law, Human Rights and Conflict Resolution’.

Education for Reconciliation, a project of the CDVEC Curriculum Development Unit (CDU) and the Centre for Cross Border Studies, is a cross border programme for Citizenship Education teachers funded by the EU through the PEACE III programme .

The resource will be designed so that it suits both the Transition Year requirements in the Republic of Ireland and the Local and Global Citizenship curriculum in Northern Ireland. A group of Citizenship Education teachers from both jurisdictions is currently working to pilot the lessons and offer feedback for its development. It is hoped that the resource will be completed by summer 2011 and distributed to schools for the following school year.
