About Palestine

The Palestinian people have been dispossessed, exiled and occupied as the result of the policies of colonial powers and the creation of the state of Israel in 1948.

A defining characteristic of Israel’s occupation has been the systematic human, civil and political rights violations it employs in order to maintain control of the Palestinian population and its territory.

The ‘About Palestine’ section of this website is intended to provide you with information on all aspects of the Israeli Occupation.  In order to fully understand the depth and comprehensive nature of the Israeli plan – it is necessary to see how its policies on prisoners, checkpoints, control over natural resources, house demolitions, siege on Gaza, etc. all contribute to a complete political, economic, cultural and social strangulation of the Palestinian people.

This section also provides historical background, information on peace negotiations and accords, Israeli breaches of international law and details of internal political structures and parties within Palestine.
